Our history

If these walls could talk...

If these walls could talk, they would tell you about a family’s passion and the pull of history.
The 200-year-old building has seen much and been modernized many times.
Here, Hildebrandt Hammer opened our first hotel in 1971, and since then, Ascot has been the trunk and roots of our family tree of hotels.
And it’s been anything but boring.

Because if these rooms could gossip, they would talk about movie stars and chamberlains, politicians and horse traders… the story of all the fascinating people who’ve stayed with us over the decades.
They have all left their mark on Ascot — and on us — as an extended part of our family.

In the colorful heart of Copenhagen, the hotel has grown alongside the city.

Our meeting room has a capacity of max. 10 people. It comes fully equipped with PC-projector, TV, free wi-fi access and more. We can also assist you with photocopying and printing.

Fitness center

Stay active and energized during your stay with our fully equipped fitness center, offering modern equipment and a welcoming space to maintain your fitness routine.

Private parking

Enjoy secure and accessible parking options during your visit. We offer private parking for DKK 495 per day/car.

Dog friendly

We welcome your dog to our hotel. DKK 350 per night/dog – incl. water and food bowls, and an extra towel.

Bike rental

Get around the city fast and easy. Bikes are available to rent from the hotel reception. DKK 195/day per regular bike.

Nanny service

Nanny Service DKK 400 per hour.

Check in/out

We offer soft checkout, and you're more than welcome to relax in the lounge after your stay is over. If you arrive early, let us know, and we will try to accommodate you.

Laundry service

You can always contact the reception to book professional laundry service.

Taxi

Outside Terminals 1 & 3, take a taxi directly to Studiestræde 61.

Train + walk

Take a train from the station at Terminal 3 to Copenhagen Central Station ("København H"). Then walk to Studiestræde.

Metro + walk

Take Metro line M2 from Airport (Terminal 3) towards the city: get off at Kongens Nytorv and change for either the M3/M4 towards København H ) or the M4 towards København Syd , and get off at Rådhuspladsen. From here it is only short walk to the hotel.

					  Good Location and Nice Rooms - Nice hotel in a good location just minutes from the metro station. Good little bar with friendly service open until around 11PM. Room was very modern and comfortable. Only issue... read more was lack of really hot water in the shower. Kinda warm, but not to the temperature you desire on a cold morning.

					  Lovely Stay - Staff friendly and accommodating.

In nice area with good walking distance to attractions.

Beautiful hotel lobby and bar. Cosy feel.

Room very clean except in the shower some marks and... read more paintwork that could do with fixing. But minor. Lamp wasn’t working when arrived and hairdryer was all burnt out, however when told reception was quickly resolved.

The noise outside my room in the early mornings of workmen was annoying but I know it’s not the hotels fault. 

Overall is a beautiful hotel and I would stay again.

					  A good couple of days stay - We stayed here for two nights. Really easy access from the metro and easy to find. Reception staff were really welcoming and probably the quickest check in I've ever completed.... read more We were on the first floor in a Deluxe room. Felt a little cramped especially compared to the one next door where our friends stayed, which was definitely larger. Breakfast was great, bar staff friendly. Location wise easy access to a number of attractions, such as Tivoli 5 mins away. Easy access luggage room to keep cases before you leave which was helpful

					  Lovely stay in perfect location - We stayed here for 3 nights. I booked well in advance and for us it worked out for under £100 a night, quite a bit lower than other hotels in... read more the city centre. The location is great, really close to the metro, tivoli and lots of other amenities. People at reception were always friendly and the lobby is a nice place to sit for a bit. Also some seating outside which was nice to watch the world go by. The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Even with the windows open we did not hear any crazy noise that you wouldn’t expect in a city. Bed was comfortable and the minibar is handy to cool your drinks. Luggage can be stores in a luggage room which is super handy of course on arrival and departure days. We enjoyed our stay and we would stay again if we ever decided to visit Copenhagen again. Nice base to explore the city.
